THE CAR DETIALS
I grew up in Pukekohe, attending local schools and eventually going to work for E & H Motors Pukekohe, where I earned my A-Grade mechanical qualification. I then went to work for Possum Bourne where I spent two years working on road/rally race cars and fast street cars before I moved back to E&H Motors to take over as Manager.
Before drifting I was into competitive MotorX and did quite well until I broke my elbow in a racing accident.
Wanting to try something new and not allowed on two wheels for a while I built up a 2.9L R32 GTS-T Skyline and used it as a drag racer where I won the C2 class at Champion Dragway in the 05/06 Night Speed dragwars. From there I decided to give drifting a go using the Skyline, and once I started getting competitive E&H Motors helped out with building a more competitive drift car in the form of a Nissan Silvia S14.
2006 was a season where I went from being the rookie to one of the seasoned veterans, better and better race results were achieved as the season went on and the ongoing development of the car continued with a lot of changes.
2007 was a great season where we took out all three championships and the car proved that is was competitive against the best in New Zealand.
2008 is shaping up to be a great season with a lot of new young talent coming through helping push us older drivers to bigger and better things. 2nd in the D1NZ championship this year and the NZ Drift Series is still up for grabs along with a shot at the Redbull Drift World Championship in the USA.
Look forward to seeing you at the track.....
