Manfeild Track Description:
NZPC spoke to 3-time defending national champion Gaz Whiter earlier this year about the Manfeild layout. “The drift section consists of a flat fouth gear (140-160kph) right-hand sweeper into a third gear left-hander, followed by a right hand third gear bend into a very sharp hairpin. Its very important to get a good run-up before the section, to get the speed needed to do the section well. Also the line taken through the first left-hand bend after the sweeper is very important – if drivers get it right it makes the rest of the section much easier.”
