Darren Kelly and Cole Armstrong, two renowned D1NZ Drift Kings with five championships between them, are set to compete. Darren, a previous winner at this event, returns to defend his title, while Cole, transitioning from commentator back to competitor, will be showing off his skills in an RB30 powered S13. Both drivers have recently become fathers and have snagged a weekend pass to thrill the crowds!
Monster Truck Madness: Kiwi Thunder & Taurus The famous Kiwi Thunder Monster Truck is back and ready to rumble after a comprehensive rebuild by its new owner. While not a full show, Kiwi Thunder will demonstrate its power by rolling over vehicles and joining parade laps. Meanwhile, Taurus isn’t just for show; for just $10 per person, fans can hop in for a ride, making it an ideal family activity.
The Cave X The Rock Sideways Experience In collaboration with The Rock Radio, The Cave is bringing adrenaline-pumping action to Baypark with their Racing Sims setup. Located beneath the grandstand, this is your chance to drift a virtual Rock Nissan S15 around Baypark and other famous tracks. A perfect pit stop for those looking to get a taste of the action without strapping into a real car.
Meet and Greet at The Cave Papamoa Before the main event kicks off, join us for a special meet and greet at The Cave Papamoa. On Wednesday, May 8th, from 6 PM to 8 PM, come meet some of your favorite drivers like Sam West and Kurt Blackie. Check out their cars up close and even try your hand at the Racing Sims!
Repco D1NZ Drift Car Cruise Adding to the excitement, the Repco D1NZ Drift Car Cruise is back! Join us as we parade from Baypark to Mount along the strip, culminating with a park up on Marine Parade. The cruise starts at 12:30 PM this Thursday, offering a perfect opportunity to meet the drivers, snap selfies, and see these incredible drift cars up close.
