Two Rounds, One Weekend, massive Chance

The 2027 season starts in Gisborne, and we're going all in

We're opening the 2027 season with two full Pro rounds back-to-back over one weekend, so the drivers leave Gisborne with twice the points on the table and you get twice as much top-level drifting to watch from the stands.

The Pro-Sport field is also in town for their opening round, which means the track barely goes quiet from the first practice runs right through to the final battles, and there's always something worth watching no matter when you arrive.

We can't think of a better way to start the season than where the sun rises first in the world with as much drifting as we can possibly fit in.

what to expect

Pro Championship Double-Header: Rounds 1 and 2 of the Pro series run back to back, with two full rounds of points up for grabs in one weekend.

Pro-Sport Round 1: The next wave of drivers get their season underway, and plenty of them are pushing hard to kick their season off with a bang.

Hard Park: It's back, so you can wander through the dedicated zone and check out the builds up close.

Merch: Catch up with the drivers behind the sport and grab some official D1NZ gear.

Food Trucks: Good food and somewhere to kick back between battles.

venue details

210 Dunstan Road, Gisborne.

The venue address is private property and there's no public access outside of the official event dates, so please don't head out to the site before the weekend. Turning up early puts pressure on the landowners and could cause problems for the event itself, so we're asking everyone to respect the space and save the visit for when the gates open.

timetable

Friday: Practice and Qualifying (Weekend Pass Only)

Saturday: Pro-Sport R1 Top 32, Pro R1 Top 32
