Two Rounds, One Weekend, massive Chance
The 2027 season starts in Gisborne, and we're going all in
We're opening the 2027 season with two full Pro rounds back-to-back over one weekend, so the drivers leave Gisborne with twice the points on the table and you get twice as much top-level drifting to watch from the stands.

The Pro-Sport field is also in town for their opening round, which means the track barely goes quiet from the first practice runs right through to the final battles, and there's always something worth watching no matter when you arrive.

We can't think of a better way to start the season than where the sun rises first in the world with as much drifting as we can possibly fit in.

The Title Race Heads North, Auckland's Turn
D1NZ takes over Mt Smart Stadium for Round 3
After the double-header in Gisborne, the standings will already be taking shape by the time we roll into Mt Smart Stadium. So Round 3 is where the drivers chasing the title need to start putting some distance between themselves and the rest of the field.

Mt Smart puts you right on top of the action, with stadium seating that looks straight down onto a tight, fast layout, where there's very little room for mistakes and every battle is right there in front of you.

Whether you're following the title race closely or just want a good day out in Auckland with your mates, this is one of the easiest D1NZ rounds of the year to get to, and it's one you'll want to be in the stands for.

The Bay's New Home of Drifting,
And we're the first
The newest drift venue in the country opens its gates with D1NZ
BOP Drift Park is a brand new venue being built at TECT Park, and D1NZ will be the very first competition ever held there, which means every driver in the field will be learning a track that nobody has competed on before.

With no past results or old lines to fall back on, the drivers who work out the layout fastest will have the upper hand, and that tends to make for some unpredictable battles with a few surprises along the way.

For the Bay of Plenty and Rotorua drifting community this is a big moment, so come along, see the new venue for yourself and be part of the crowd that was there on day one.

The final round,
champions crowned
The 2027 D1NZ Championship will be decided at Mercury Baypark
After a full season of battles across the country, it all comes down to one final weekend at Mercury Baypark, where the 2027 D1NZ champions will be decided in front of what we expect to be one of the biggest crowds of the year.

Some drivers will arrive needing a big result to stay in the hunt, while others will be doing everything they can to protect their lead, and that kind of pressure always brings out some of the closest and most intense battles of the season.

If you only get to one round this year, make it this one, because there's nothing quite like being in the stands when the final battle is run and a new champion climbs out of the car.
