Pukekohe holds a wealth of history amongst the motorsport scene in New Zealand. This event isn't just about celebrating the last drift, but giving the track a send-off worthy for the history books.

britten v1000
The revolutionary Britten V1000 returns to the track alongside one of the men who helped write its mythology — nine-time New Zealand Superbike Champion Andrew Stroud.
Born in a New Zealand workshop and unleashed on the world stage, the Britten V1000 did more than write history.
Regularly raced at speeds exceeding 300km/h, Stroud recounts an epic battle he had with the late Robert Holden at Pukekohe.
“I was absolutely on the ragged edge racing with Robert – a time where we were both 1.5seconds under the lap record.”
Stroud will open up the Britten V1000 on the Sunday for a last sound and sense of top-tier motorcycle racing the venue hosted.

Sir Scott Dixon’s IndyCar:
The Machine That Made History.
As part of the final celebrations and Drift GP at Pukekohe Park Raceway, fans will have the rare opportunity to get up close with one of the most significant cars in modern open-wheel racing — Sir Scott Dixon’s 2005 IndyCar Series race-winning machine.
On display Sunday 15 February in the Crème Northcrest Insurance Icon Zone, the car is on special loan from the Ross family museum collection in Cambridge. It forms part of a two-car museum showcase, with the second car set to be fired up on the day — bringing sight, sound, and atmosphere to Pukekohe’s final motorsport chapter.
The Target Chip Ganassi Racing #9 (chassis #43)— a Panoz GF09C, was built for
the ultra-competitive 2005 IndyCar Series season.
Under the engine cover sits a Toyota 3.0-litre naturally aspirated V8, producing approximately 650 horsepower, paired to an Xtrac six-speed sequential gearbox.
